Geotrek Flatiron Sprinter Van: A Compact Campervan for Off-Grid Adventures

The Geotrek Flatiron Sprinter Van is a versatile campervan that's perfect for those seeking adventure in the great outdoors. This direct-to-consumer campervan company specialises in Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van builds, offering a streamlined 4-day construction process that keeps prices competitive.

The Flatiron is built on an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) Mercedes Sprinter chassis, providing superior off-road capability and control on loose dirt, mud, snow, and steep terrain. This makes it well-suited for backroads and unpredictable conditions.

Inside, the smart interior design is optimised for off-grid living and adventure. The van features an elevated bed platform that creates ample garage space for up to three bikes (front wheels removed), built-in cubbies for gear and tools, a dual-drawer fridge/freezer for extended meal storage, and a minimalist kitchen area with a single-burner induction stove.

The Flatiron's power system charges in three different ways: alternator charging, solar power, and "Ship-to-Shore" charging. Standard features that run on DC power include the fridge, lights, water pump, and fans. AC-powered features include outlets, the heater, air conditioning, and hot water.

One of the standout features of the Flatiron is the air conditioner, which provides comfort for both occupants and their pets. It can be controlled remotely from the front of the van, making it easy to adjust the temperature without leaving your seat. The van's kitchen sink is also a luxury, offering running water for washing dishes.

For those who prefer a more comfortable night's sleep, the most energy-efficient way to keep cool at night is to leave the back two windows open and turn on the ceiling fan. The Flatiron is equipped with a 400W solar panel array, a 10KWh EcoFlow Power Kit, and a digital control panel by the bed that displays battery percentage, energy usage, and power generation rate.

Geotrek offers a long list of custom add-ons and features, including bump-outs with sliding windows, EcoFlow Power Kit upgrades, an outdoor shower, a fold-down indoor shower, a Trelino composting toilet, a full set of window covers, a Geotrek gearbox, and more. An upgrade to a double-burner induction stove can be added for an additional $450.

The Trelino composting toilet is tucked into the bench seat and can be removed for use anywhere. Geotrek does not install toilets or bathrooms like those found in RVs or campers. Instead, a Trelino composting toilet can be added as an upgrade.

The Flatiron Sprinter Van is priced competitively, with typical new pre-built vans listed at approximately $129,341 as of mid-2025. Earlier mentions suggest prices as low as $111,000 depending on included options and features.

In summary, the Flatirk Sprinter Van offers a competitively priced, efficiently built AWD campervan with high-quality construction and thoughtful features designed for serious off-grid travel and gear-heavy adventures. The quick build process helps keep costs lower while maintaining craftsmanship and functionality.
