City Library's October Calendar Packed with Kids' Events
The City Library on Weiler Street is hosting a variety of events for children and families throughout October. From board game tournaments to Halloween-themed activities and reading club meetings, there's something for everyone.
Kicking off the month, the Little Bookworms welcome toddlers and their companions on October 2nd, 16th, and 30th from 9:30 to 11 AM. The Children's Reading Club meets on October 9th and 23rd from 5 to 6 PM for children aged 8 to 12, while the Youth Reading Club meets on the same days for those aged 12 to 18. The leaders of these reading groups remain anonymous.
On October 16th from 3 to 5 PM, a Board Game Tournament is scheduled for children aged 4 to 11. The best players will receive small trophies. Later in the month, on October 30th from 4 to 5 PM, a 'Halloween' themed event is planned. Children aged 8 to 11 can learn the game 'Werewolf' guided by experienced reading club members.
