Course on calligraphy: Penmanship with energetic flow
In the heart of Weiden, on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, the Druckzentrum - Oberpfalz Medien GmbH will host a captivating Calligraphy for Beginners and Advanced Users workshop. This course, designed by course leader Brigitte Herrneder, is an opportunity for participants to add more dynamism to their handwriting or achieve a specific expressive effect with certain letter forms.
The course fee is 69,- € for subscribers and 79,- € for non-subscribers, which includes a script and exercise paper. Participants are not required to bring any specific materials, as everything needed will be provided. The minimum number of participants for the course is 9, and the maximum is 16 people. Tickets can be purchased at the business offices in Weiden and Amberg, or online.
The course will delve into the concept of a "dynamic" text through various exercises and practical applications. Key techniques and strategies include varying stroke pressure and speed, merging strokes fluidly, incorporating rhythmic and consistent inclination, using appropriate tools, and exploring diverse styles progressively. These elements together create visually engaging, lively text for all skill levels.
