The much-anticipated Expo 2025 is set to open its doors on April 13, 2025, in Osaka, Japan. This international event, the latest World Expo and the first in Japan since 2005, will showcase the fusion of modern technology, traditional Japanese craftsmanship, and global collaboration.

The main facilities of Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai include the Grand Roof Ring, a 2-kilometer wooden ring structure symbolizing unity, continuity, and global collaboration. Constructed with a modern interpretation of traditional Japanese joinery, the Grand Roof Ring offers visitors the chance to ascend to its top for panoramic views of the Expo site and Osaka Bay.

The Expo is held on Yumeshima, an artificial island in Osaka Bay, featuring waterways and greenery at its heart. Eight signature pavilions, designed by leading Japanese artists and experts in art and science, are a cluster of visionary installations at the intersection of architecture and interactive technology. These pavilions explore themes like sustainability, technology, and future society designed by Japanese specialists.

Nearly 160 countries participate in Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai, with many constructing their own pavilions. Notable participating countries and pavilions include Japan, the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden), the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy (and Vatican City), China, South Korea, India, Australia, Canada, Brazil, and many others covering all continents.

Outside the Grand Ring, domestic (Japanese) and corporate pavilions by private companies such as Panasonic and Yoshimoto Kogyo, both based in Osaka, present interactive and playful installations. The Pasona Group pavilion, with a fossil-inspired design, focuses on physical, mental, and social health exhibitions. It also plans to relocate the Dutch Pavilion to Awaji Island post-Expo for regional revitalization.

Inside the Grand Ring, foreign countries' pavilions are arranged into four zones: Inspiring Lives, Saving Lives, Connecting Lives, plus the Signature Zone with Japanese artist pavilions reflecting the Expo's main theme of designing future society. Outside the Grand Ring, domestic and private company pavilions, and the Future Life zone are situated at the western end of the park.

The "Ray Garden" serves as the National Day Hall where events will take place celebrating each participating country or region. Other domestic pavilions at Expo 2025 include Japan, Women's, Osaka Healthcare, Kansai, Private-Sector, Blue Ocean Dome, Electric Power, Gas Obake Wonderland, Gundam Next Future, Iida Group x Osaka Metropolitan University Joint, Mitsubishi, NTT, ORA Gaishoku, "Utage", Panasonic Group, "The Land of Nomo", Pasona Natureverse, Sumitomo, Tech World, Yoshimoto, "Waraii Myraii", and a drone show in the sky over the Grand Ring.
