Let's Get Down to Business: VTL Travel to Singapore from India

Singapore has eased travel restrictions for Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) passengers. As of February 22, 2022, Singapore will loosen entry and testing requirements for travelers hailing from India.

But don't skimp on basic precautions – a negative PCR test or rapid antigen test, not more than 48 hours old, is still essential.

Welcome Relief: Cut Travel History Requirement

Good news for passengers traveling on VTL flights from Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai to Singapore! Singapore Airlines (SIA) has reduced the travel history requirement from 14 to 7 days for VTL flyers. As per SIA, you must not have ventured beyond VTL countries or regions, or Category I countries/regions classified by Singapore's Ministry of Health (such as Mainland China, Macao, and Taiwan), in the past seven days.

Pro tip: If you were in Singapore within the last seven days, your stay can contribute toward meeting the travel history requirement.

See Ya Later, Vaccinated Travel Pass (VTP)!

Hurray! Long-term pass holders are off the hook! VTP is no longer necessary for these jetsetters. However, VTP remains essential for short-term visitors and workers with permits.

Testing for Success: Chill on Arrival, Brace for 24-hour Rapid Antigen Test

Singapore is easing up on arrival testing. From February 22, VTL travelers are exempt from taking an on-arrival Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test at Changi Airport. Instead, you'll receive a testing notice with a web link to book tests post-entry into Singapore. You'll need to undergo a rapid antigen test within 24 hours of your arrival, at test centers scattered across Singapore. If the test outcome is negative, there's no need for additional tests.

Fly High with SIA: 52 Flights from 8 Indian Cities

Singapore Airlines operates 52 flights to Singapore from eight Indian cities, including daily, quarantine-free VTL services from Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai. Non-VTL services are available from Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Kochi. Travelers on these flights must abide by the Travel and Health Control Measures set by the Singapore government.

Scoot, SIA's low-cost subsidiary, provides non-VTL services from Amritsar, Hyderabad, and Tiruchirappalli.

Remember: Information is subject to change, so double-check the latest requirements from Singapore's Immigration and Checkpoints Authority or Ministry of Health before you fly!
