One particular shared bond between her Russian homeland and Estonia is moonshine, in the form of kumõška. Elena fondly recalls the favored kumõška of her mother and cherished experiences in Udmurtia during her visits. The distinctive cultural tapestry of Udmurtia stands in stark contrast to the picturesque landscapes of southern Estonia.
