The Ministry of Religious Affairs in Pakistan has announced the Hajj Policy for 2026, setting out the details for the upcoming pilgrimage. Here's a breakdown of the essential information for potential pilgrims.

Quota Allocation

A total of 179,210 Pakistani citizens will be able to perform Hajj in 2026, with the government scheme accounting for 129,210 pilgrims, and the remaining spots allocated to private tour operators.

Application Process

Applications for the government scheme will open on August 4, 2025, and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the quota is filled. The ministry portal will close once the government scheme quota is complete.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must be Muslim Pakistani passport holders with passports valid until at least November 26, 2026. Unfortunately, children under 12 years of age are not allowed to perform Hajj this year.

Hajj Packages

There are two government Hajj packages available: a long package (38–42 days) and a short package (20–25 days). The estimated cost for these packages ranges between Rs. 1,150,000 and Rs. 1,250,000, payable in installments. The first installment is approximately Rs. 500,000 for the long package and Rs. 550,000 for the short package.

Vaccination Requirement

All pilgrims must be vaccinated with Saudi-approved COVID-19 vaccines.

Additional Information

If the quota remains available, the ministry will open the process for non-registered applicants from August 11 to 16. Applications are being accepted at scheduled bank branches on a first-come, first-served basis until August 9. The second installment for Hajj expenses will be received from November 1, 2025. Individuals born after March 1, 2014 are not eligible to apply for Hajj.
