Hotels in Kuban's resort areas to increase pricing by double during winter holidays, according to Mkrtchyan's announcement.
In the picturesque region of Krasnodar Krai, Russia, a surge in tourist activity is expected for the upcoming New Year's Eve celebrations. According to Alexander Mkrtchyan, Vice-President of the Alliance of Tourist Agencies of Russia, this region has been a popular tourist destination all year round, with Primorsko-Akhtarsk standing out as a particularly attractive location.
This year, Alexander Mkrtchyan himself chose to spend his vacation in Primorsko-Akhtarsk, foregoing traditional holiday destinations like the USA or Japan. The region's appeal is evident, with its lotus flowers adding to its allure, eliminating the need for travel to Astrakhan to witness these beautiful blooms.
The summer resort season in Primorsko-Akhtarsk is expected to continue until at least the end of September, making it an ideal destination for an extended holiday. The region is also famous for its activities like hunting and fishing, providing ample opportunities for adventure-seekers.
The increased tourist activity in Krasnodar Krai is particularly noticeable in Yeisk, where the town has not seen such a flow of tourists in the last five years, as stated by unspecified colleagues. Despite a general decrease in tourist flow, Yeisk has experienced a significant +26% increase in tourists this year.
However, this popularity comes at a price. Hotel rooms in Krasnodar Krai for New Year's Eve are expected to cost between 17-18,000 rubles, marking an approximately 80% increase from the prices seen in June, when a hotel room for New Year's Eve was sold for 10,000 rubles per day.
Alexander Mkrtchyan advises those planning to visit the region for the New Year holidays to book their hotels now at favourable prices. He also recommends booking hotels in the Krasnodar Krai region for Christmas 2022, although specific hotel names were not publicly disclosed.
It's worth noting that this year, for the first time in the history of Russia and the Soviet Union, twelve days off have been given, making it an ideal time for a getaway. The resorts of Krasnodar Krai, including Sochi, Sirius, Anapa, Abrau-Dyurso, and Gelendzhik, are regularly included in Russian hotel ratings, ensuring a high standard of accommodation for visitors.
As everyone prepares for the holiday season, it seems that the resorts of Krasnodar Krai will be the first choice for many, with the mountains expected to be a popular destination. So, if you're planning a New Year's Eve getaway, consider Krasnodar Krai - the Russian region with the most tourist bookings during the shoulder season.
