Chausson Unveils Four New Motorhome Models for 2026
For the upcoming 2026 season, French motorhome manufacturer Chausson has announced the launch of four new models, including two conventional low-profile models: the 797 with fixed single beds and the 798 with an island bed. These new models, along with the existing end washroom 640 model, will be available on either a Ford chassis (Titanium Line) or a Fiat chassis (Ultimate Line).
The key differences between the Ford and Fiat chassis versions are noticeable in their design philosophy. Ford chassis models (Titanium Line) are designed with a more modern aesthetic, aimed at a younger market, suggesting styling and possibly interior design details that cater to contemporary tastes. On the other hand, Fiat chassis models (Ultimate Line) emphasize a more traditional design approach, appealing to customers who prefer classic motorhome layouts and finishes.
Chausson is also returning to offering more of its vehicles on both Ford Transit and Fiat Ducato chassis after recently concentrating more on Ford due to Fiat supply chain issues.
Beyond the new models 797 and 798, other changes include the incorporation of a hideaway bed from the crossover X range into the compact low-profile S614 model. The existing X models, X550 and X650, have also received a refreshed washroom design featuring a swivel partition, ergonomic basin, and mirror, as well as a splash-limiting layout.
Meanwhile, the three Fiat-based overcab models (C727, C656, and C514) now boast 100% polyester walls made in a sandwich construction method with Styrofoam insulation, providing better insulation and weather resilience.
In addition to Chausson's releases, other motorhome manufacturers will be showcasing their latest offerings at the October NEC Show. However, the Camping & Caravanning Club will not be in attendance due to their decision to pause attendance.
