Itinerary for a weekend in New Orleans
In the heart of America, an individual embarked on a weekend adventure to the vibrant city of New Orleans. With a capsule wardrobe carefully curated, the traveller set off to explore the city's charm and culture.
The packing list was concise yet comprehensive, containing essentials like PJ's, a swimsuit, a toiletry bag, and various clothing items. Light breezy pieces and layers were chosen to cater to the sunny weather, with highs in the 80's, making for perfect exploring conditions. The individual initially planned to bring light jeans but ended up packing dark jeans for added versatility. To round off the outfit, a pair of Nikes were chosen over flat sandals for comfort during long days of walking around the French Quarter.
Upon arrival, the individual and their companion, Aaron, checked into the Westin hotel in the French Quarter, making it their home base for the weekend. The first night was spent at Restaurant R'evolution, a culinary delight that set the tone for the rest of the trip.
The following day, the duo ventured out to the charming town of Fairhope, where they photographed two shoots against the picturesque backdrop. Back in New Orleans, they cooled off by taking a dip in the rooftop pool of their hotel. The evening was spent exploring the city by foot, capturing silly iPhone photos along the way.
A visit to a hat shop in the city was a must, adding a chic touch to the wardrobe. The next morning, brunch was enjoyed at Stanley, a popular spot known for its Mega Mimosa. The rest of the individual's capsule wardrobe, complete with links to the sources of the clothing items, can be found online for those wanting to replicate the minimalist yet stylish look.
Before leaving the city, a day was spent immersed in the culture of New Orleans, visiting various attractions and soaking up the unique atmosphere. The journey continued as Aaron and the author ventured to the city of Innsbruck, where they spent their nights at the Berghotel, marking the end of an adventurous weekend getaway.
