Krasnodar Streamlines Guesthouse Sector for Tourism Boost
In a move to boost tourism and safety, Krasnodar regions is streamlining its accommodation sector. Guesthouses meeting set standards can now legalize and classify themselves by year-end. This follows Russia's nationwide legalization of all accommodation facilities starting January 1.
Over 11,000 facilities in Krasnodar regions have already undergone mandatory classification by September 1. This process aims to ensure comfortable and safe stays for tourists. More than 70% of these facilities were entered into the federal registry by the same date.
Legalization allows guesthouses to join the tourism industry, with over 4,700 now equated to 'no-star' hotels. However, those not classified cannot be listed on aggregators without noting their unclassified status. Despite the deadline of December 31, no Krasnodar companies have yet been reported to have successfully applied for guesthouse classification.
Krasnodar's guesthouses are being urged to legalize and classify themselves by the end of the year. This will enhance safety and competition, driving service improvements and technology upgrades in the region's tourism sector.
