Autumn holidays in Lower Saxony are shaping up to be a busy time for tourism, with coastal areas and popular hiking destinations like the Lüneburg Heath expecting a surge in visitors. The trend towards last-minute bookings continues, influenced by weather conditions along the coast.

Lower Saxony's holiday regions are gearing up for a bustling autumn. The Lüneburg Heath anticipates a rush of hiking and cycling tourists, mirroring last year's booking situation. Meanwhile, the Harz region is seeing a mixed booking picture, with demand varying by location and expected to pick up as the holidays commence.

Coastal areas along the North Sea are reporting occupancy rates ranging from 50 to 80 percent, with around two-thirds of businesses content with the current booking status. Goslar, in particular, is experiencing high demand, with many hotels and guesthouses nearly fully booked.
