Mönchengladbach's Kulturrucksack 2026: €75,000 for Young Creatives, New Artist Fee
The Culture Office in Mönchengladbach is inviting applications for the 2026 Kulturrucksack program. Birte Wehmeier, deputy director, and Irina Pauli, coordinator, encourage creative project ideas from children and young people aged 10 to 14. The program offers an annual funding of around €75,000 and introduces a new minimum fee for professional artists.
The Kulturrucksack program provides diverse cultural activities, including dance, performance, shadow theatre, and art installations using recycled materials. All offers are free for participants. For the first time, a binding minimum fee of €55 per hour is introduced for professional artists in 2026. Initiatives, clubs, foundations, GmbHs, and public institutions from North Rhine-Westphalia can apply. The application deadline is October 31st.
