Yakutia, a region in Eastern Siberia, has announced a new discount on airline tickets for children aged 2 to 12. According to the Ministry of Transport of Yakutia, this discount was implemented on January 1, 2025, following a decision by President Vladimir Putin.

The discount offers a fixed 50% reduction on airline tickets, making travel more affordable for families with young children. However, it's important to note that this discount does not extend to international flights, subsidized aviation programs, or the previous discount policy in 20XX.

During the period from January 1st to February 28th, 2025, a total of 1708 airline tickets were sold at the discounted price. The majority of these tickets, 1182, were sold by Yakutia airline, while Polar Airlines accounted for 30.7% with 526 tickets sold.

This discounted offer was valid for a limited time and marked a significant step towards making air travel more accessible for young passengers in Yakutia.
