The Krasnodar region, known for its industrial strength and economic robustness, is witnessing a significant surge in its health resort industry. This development is evident in the numerous projects announced at the recent St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, including a new sanatorium in Sochi, set to open after a quarter of a century [1].

In addition to Sochi, the region will see the construction of health resorts in Gelendzhik, Goryachy Klyuch, Kabardinka, Mostovsky District, Anapa, and a children's camp. These projects, totalling 76 in number with an investment of 865 billion rubles, will provide the region with an additional 55,000 hotel and sanatorium rooms [1].

The projects will also create 32,000 new jobs in the region, contributing significantly to employment opportunities [1]. Among the projects agreed upon are a hotel complex and sanatorium, a tourist cluster, premium leisure and health facilities, a family health center, three five-star hotels, and a children's camp [1].

The Mostovskoy District, in particular, is set to see a key project - a sanatorium with a diagnostic and treatment center. This initiative aims to bolster healthcare and wellness infrastructure in the region and has been announced repeatedly since April 2025 [1]. The development in Mostovskoy District also includes other investment projects such as workshops for building materials production.

These health resort projects align with Kuban's reputation as a favourable destination for health tourism, promising to enhance regional healthcare tourism in the coming years. The region is also creating an inviting environment for further investors in the health and wellness sector, suggesting future expansions and diversification of the health resort industry [1].

Governor Veniamin Kondratyev is actively discussing the health resort industry in Kuban, underscoring the region's commitment to its growth and development. Over the past 10 years, 25 projects with a total investment of over 20 billion rubles have been implemented in the region, demonstrating the region's sustained focus on the health resort sector [1].
