Parachute Expands into Living Room Furniture, Targets 100 Stores Nationwide
Parachute, renowned for its bedding and mattresses, has broadened its product range to include living room furniture. The brand initially targeted 30 stores by 2022 but adjusted it to 25. Despite economic uncertainty, the new line is anticipated to drive growth.
Parachute began selling furniture last year, commencing with bed frames. It subsequently added nightstands and benches before launching its first living room collection. This expansion aligns with the brand's objective to create essentials for every room in the home.
The new line encompasses sofas, chairs, tables, lighting, and rugs, priced from $349 to $4,500. Some items are made-to-order to minimise waste. Parachute employs durable, PFAS-free fabrics to ensure safety and longevity.
Founder and CEO Ariel Kaye plans to expand Parachute's physical retail presence nationwide, aiming for around 100 stores. The brand currently operates over 20 stores and has experienced double-digit year-over-year revenue growth in stores. It profited from increased demand for home goods during the early months of the pandemic.
Parachute's expansion into living room furniture is poised to bolster its growth despite economic challenges. With a focus on durability, safety, and minimising waste, the brand aspires to create essentials for every room in the home. Its nationwide retail expansion plans reflect the brand's confidence in the market.
