Ropaži Church's 'Garden of Light' Returns for Fifth Year, Supporting RMHC

The Ropaži Church is once again illuminating the winter nights with its 'Garden of Light' installation, now in its fifth year. The event, open daily from 16:00 onwards, supports the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) in aiding Latvian children in rural areas. More details can be found on the church's website.

The 'Garden of Light' began in 2020 as a campaign for the church's renovation and has since become an annual tradition. This year, it coincides with the Santa Fun Run on December 8, starting at Doma Square in the Old Town, where participants are encouraged to dress up as Santa.

In addition to the light installations, four art galleries will be showcasing works during the Kleine Kunstfest 'Veldze' from December 6 to 8 at the creative factory 'Veldze'. The event aims to highlight the importance of art in everyone's well-being and challenge the notion of art's exclusivity and financial inaccessibility.

The 'Garden of Light' at Ropaži Church and the Kleine Kunstfest 'Veldze' offer a blend of festivity and art, all for a good cause. With all participation fees going towards RMHC, these events provide a unique way to enjoy the holiday season while supporting a worthy cause. More information about participation can be found on the event's Facebook page.
