SAS Expands Flying Blue Partnership for More Transatlantic Miles Redemption Options
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has expanded its partnership with Flying Blue, offering more options for frequent flyers to redeem miles on transatlantic flights. The changes include new award pricing and additional routes.
SAS award pricing is now available through Delta SkyMiles, thanks to SAS joining SkyTeam. This means customers can use miles from Air France, KLM, or SAS itself to book SAS flights, subject to availability. Routes from Chicago to Copenhagen and Los Angeles to Copenhagen are now bookable with Flying Blue miles, starting at 21,300 miles in economy for the Chicago flight and 28,100 miles for the Los Angeles flight.
For those departing from Stockholm (ARN) or Copenhagen (CPH), Flying Blue miles can be used to book SAS flights. Short flights in Europe with SAS can be booked for as low as 3,400 miles in economy or 8,400 miles in business class. Taxes and fees for SAS flights booked with Flying Blue in Europe are around $32 per passenger.
