SAS Expands Premium Travel Experience With 35 New Lounges by October 2025
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is boosting its premium travel experience with an ambitious expansion of lounge access across Europe and Scandinavia. By October 1, 2025, SAS aims to offer around 35 additional lounges at key destinations, with work already underway to secure access in cities like Nice, Malaga, and Palma.
SAS is accomplishing this through strategic partnerships with established lounge operators. The initiative aligns with the airline's broader premium experience, which is seamlessly integrated with the SkyTeam alliance. Since joining SkyTeam in September 2024, SAS has expanded its network worldwide, offering access to lounges in cities such as Bergen, Helsinki, Billund, Stavanger, and Aalborg. By October 2025, SAS plans to have lounges in destinations like Niza, Malaga, Palma, Lissabon, Venedig, Florenz, Neapel, Malta, Madrid, Mailand-Linate, Manchester, Edinburgh, Prag, Krakau, and Keflavik.
In addition to expanding lounge access, SAS is also enhancing its Business Class product to provide an elevated travel experience for premium customers. The airline serves over 25 million passengers annually and transports 60,000 tons of cargo to 135 destinations worldwide, operating global hubs at Copenhagen Airport (CPH), Oslo (OSL), and Stockholm (ARN).
By October 1, 2025, SAS aims to have as much lounge access in place as possible, with ongoing updates for customers. This expansion of lounge access, coupled with the upgrade of Business Class, underscores SAS's commitment to delivering a premium travel experience for its customers.
