Yet another described Santa as "eerie," an otherworldly entity that instilled a sense of fear reminiscent of a strange dream.

Sightings of Santa's reindeer and sleigh have even been compared to sightings of unidentified flying objects (UFOs). One girl named Jade swears she saw a bright red light "beaming down" into her bedroom window, followed by the sound of bells and an object in the sky, before it vanished just as silently as it appeared.

Caught in the Act

These tales of St. Nick sightings continue to circulate, with new personal anecdotes surfacing every now and then. In 2016, a man shared his own unforgettable experience that took place in 1990, when he was only seven years old.

Awakened in the dead of night, he claims to have heard the light sound of bells and felt a presence enter the room. Though the room was pitch-black, he insists he made out the unmistakable shape of Father Christmas near his bed.

The figure seemed to pat his grandfather with a large red Santa glove, then made a strange gesture before the witness fell back asleep.

Another individual recalls a Christmas Eve many years ago when he was roused from slumber at 2:30 a.m. to use the restroom. Upon returning, he saw Santa Claus sitting in his family's recliner, eating cookies and admiring the Christmas tree.

"I tiptoed down the stairs, peeking around the corner to get a better look," he explained, "but Santa was much too large to be my father."

He decided to make a run for the restroom, avoiding eye contact with Santa before returning to find him gone and the house plunged back into darkness.

Santa: Spirit or Stalker?

Peering closer, they could see the outline of a sleigh.
