Terra Madre Asia Pacific 2025 Set for Philippines, Uniting Global Food Lovers

Terra Madre is set to make its regional debut in Asia and the Pacific with TMAP 2025, the first edition to be held in the Philippines. Bacolod City Lone District Representative Alfredo Abelardo Benitez has signed a memorandum of agreement with Slow Food International for the event's hosting. TMAP 2025 promises to bring together a diverse range of participants, including farmers, fishers, indigenous leaders, chefs, and more.

The Terra Madre & Pacific 2025 will take place in Dumaguete, Philippines, affectionately known as the 'City of Gentle People'. The event aims to showcase the region's rich culinary heritage and celebrate the philosophy of good, clean, and fair food. With over 2,000 delegates from more than 20 countries expected to participate, TMAP 2025 is set to be a significant gathering.

Ramon 'Chin Chin' Uy Jr. has described TMAP 2025 as a turning point for Slow Food in the Philippines and the entire region. The event will solidify Bacolod City's status as the 'Center for Sustainable Gastronomy' and Negros Occidental as the 'Organic Capital of the Philippines'. Among the attendees will be at least 100 world-renowned chefs from Asia and the Pacific, including Filipino chefs from Negros Occidental who will collaborate with global and regional culinary masters. TMAP 2025 will feature immersive exhibits, hands-on tastings, conferences, and community meals.

TMAP 2025 is set to be a landmark event for the region, bringing together diverse stakeholders to celebrate and promote sustainable gastronomy. The event promises to showcase the best of the Philippines' culinary heritage and solidify its place on the global food map.
