Wallbox Expands European EV Charging Network with 125 UK Supernova DC Fast Chargers
Wallbox, a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, has announced a significant expansion of its network in Europe. The company has partnered with Osprey Charging to install Supernova DC fast chargers and implement the WBX service program for maintenance. This collaboration will notably strengthen Wallbox's presence in the UK, with 125 chargers ranging from 60 to 150 kilowatts to be installed.
The collaboration is part of Wallbox's broader strategy to expand its European footprint. The company, which has subsidiaries in nine European countries, is leveraging its local presence and diverse activities to drive growth. This includes the recent acquisition of ABL GmbH, a German company in the electric mobility sector, for 15 million euros. This acquisition has enabled Wallbox to expand its product portfolio, obtain necessary certifications, and meet German market requirements, including calibration law for electric vehicle charging.
Osprey Charging chose Wallbox for its technological alignment, industrial capabilities, and European manufacturing base. The combined total of Wallbox and ABL chargers installed worldwide now exceeds one million, a testament to the company's growth and success in the EV charging industry.
Through this collaboration with Osprey Charging, Wallbox is significantly expanding its charging infrastructure in England. The installation of 125 Supernova DC fast chargers will provide a substantial boost to the UK's EV charging network, supporting the growing number of electric vehicles on the roads. This move is part of Wallbox's ongoing initiatives to strengthen its presence in Europe and drive the transition to sustainable mobility.
